TEMPORARY & FLEXIBLE COURTS

Temporary & flexible padel courts.

Temporary and flexible padel court solutions can help venues explore a new use for space or develop a project in stages. ModPadel brings design, specification, supply and installation into the discussion, with the proposed court arrangement shaped around your site, tenure and intended use.

When a flexible court may fit.

A flexible approach may be worth exploring when your venue is testing demand, using a space for a defined period or planning development in phases. Start by explaining how long you expect to use the site and what could change later.

The choice is about more than the court frame. Access, the existing surface, supporting works and the terms of your site occupation all influence whether a temporary or flexible installation makes sense.

Ground conditions & site requirements.

The available area and its existing condition are central to the brief. Layout, access and any supporting works need to be considered together, so that the court proposal responds to the space as it is.

Temporary or flexible status does not determine a site's planning or engineering requirements. These are assessed for the individual proposal, alongside relevant structural and regulatory considerations.

Plan for future changes.

If relocation, removal or a later expansion forms part of your plan, include it in the brief before choosing a court. The proposal should identify the system, installation method and any practical limits on future changes.

ModPadel can explore the available approach with you. Moving a court is a separate project that requires assessment of the new site, transport, disassembly and reinstallation; suitability cannot be assumed from the word flexible alone.

Equipment & ongoing support.

Court equipment, operational guidance and ongoing maintenance remain relevant to a flexible project. We can help bring these elements into your plans, alongside any canopy requirements that need exploring.

A little more clarity

Your questions, answered.

Does a temporary padel court need planning permission?

Temporary or flexible status does not automatically remove planning requirements. Confirm the proposed use, duration and installation with the relevant local planning authority and advisers before committing to the site.

Can a flexible court be installed on any surface?

No universal assumption should be made. The ground or existing slab, levels, drainage, structural support and exposure need assessment for the proposed system.

Can the court be moved later?

Potential relocation should be discussed before specification. It depends on the selected court system, condition, access and the suitability of the next site. Any removal, transport and reinstallation scope needs separate agreement.

Can I discuss a project that is still an early idea?

Yes. Share your location, photographs, available space and expected period of use. We can help identify the questions that need answering before developing a proposal.
